ജര്‍മന്‍ നോവലിസ്റ്റ്‌. ഹിറ്റ്‌ലറുടെ അധികാരാരോഹകാലത്തെ ബര്‍ലിന്റെ രസകരമായ ചിത്രീകരണങ്ങളാണ്‌ ഇഷര്‍വുഡ്ഡിന്റെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ നോവലുകളിലെ പ്രതിപാദ്യം. ഡബ്ല്യു.എച്ച്‌. ആഡനുമായി സഹകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്‌ ഇദ്ദേഹം ചില നാടകങ്ങളും (The Dog Beneath the Skin, 1935; The Ascent of F' 6; On the Frontier, 1937)രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. യു.എസ്സില്‍ താമസമാക്കിയതിനുശേഷം ഭാരതീയ മതദര്‍ശനങ്ങളിലാണ്‌ ഇഷര്‍വുഡ്‌ കൂടുതല്‍ താത്‌പര്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്‌. ദ്‌ മെമോറിയല്‍ (The Memorial, 1923), മി. നോറിസ്‌ ചെയ്‌ഞ്ചസ്‌ ട്രയിന്‍ (Mr. Norris Changes Train, 1935), ഗുഡ്‌ബൈ ടു ബര്‍ലിന്‍ (Goodbye to Berlin, 1939), പ്രറ്റര്‍ വയലറ്റ്‌ (Prater Violet, 1945), ദേ്‌ വേള്‍ഡ്‌ ഇന്‍ ദി ഈവനിങ്‌ (The World in the Evening, 1954) ഡൗണ്‍ ദേര്‍ ഓണ്‍ എ വിസിറ്റ്‌ (Down There on a Visit, 1962)എന്നിവയാണ്‌ ഇഷര്‍വുഡ്ഡിന്റെ പ്രധാന നോവലുകള്‍.
