Agrostology

സസ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തില്‍ പുല്‍ച്ചെടികളെപ്പറ്റി പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന പഠനശാഖ. അഞ്ഞൂറിലധികം ജീനസ്സുകളും അയ്യായിരത്തിലധികം സ്പീഷീസുമുള്ള പുല്‍ച്ചെടികള്‍ ഏകബീജപത്രികകളിലെ പോയേസീ (Poaceae) കുടുംബത്തില്‍പ്പെടുന്നു. പുല്‍ച്ചെടികളുടെ ഘടന, വിതരണം, ഉപയോഗം എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനമാണ് അഗ്രോസ്റ്റോളജി.
